Publish/Unpublish This View
If you are ready to embed, or link to, a POST View in a public website, follow the instructions below. This will mark the POST View as published, however this WILL NOT prevent changes to the "published" version.
Published POST Views are publicly accessible ONCE they have been embedded on a public website or linked to with the HTML link found in the POST View properties page.
To publish a POST View:
- When viewing the POST Views properties page for a specific POST View click publish this view from the TOOLS menu on the left side navigation panel.
- Your POST View properties page will be refreshed and the Embed Code will become accessible and HTML link will function on an external website.
- The TOOLS menu will show unpublish this view.
- On the POST View list a published icon will be next to the Occupation/Program name of your POST View.
To unpublish a POST View:
- When viewing the POST Views properties page for a published POST View click unpublish this view from the TOOLS menu on the left side navigation panel.
- Your POST View properties page will be refreshed and the Embed Code will become hidden. HTML links will remain accessible for previewing purposes, however if linked to from an external website they will render "page not found" errors.
- The TOOLS menu will show publish this view.
- There will be no published icon next to the POST View Occupation/Program name.
NOTES:
- Users are able to publish POST Views within their organization only.
- Public links to published POST Views will always reference the currently published versions of the linked POST Drawings!
- Whether published or unpublished, changes can still be made to the POST View. Changes made when published and embedded on an external website will be visible automatically upon making the change.
- All POST Views created before December 20th, 2012 were marked "published" by default. Users must manually change them to "unpublished" if they do not want to use them publicly.
